Ignition, G5’s group exhibition is now open at The Jung Center from Saturday, August 19, 2023 to Thursday, September 28, 2023. Featuring an essay by curator Erika Mei Chua Holum, this exhibition serves as G5’s reintroduction to the Houston arts community as a tight cohort of five artists, each presenting bold, new art works ignited by diverse array of forces.

Showing work together is a key tenant of G5 membership. Working toward an exhibition as a team is an experience like no other. Showing work as a group demonstrates our confidence in and commitment to each other and to our collective sense of purpose. Sharing responsibilities required to produce a high-quality exhibition builds teamwork, trust and connection. Celebrating the beautiful result with the community is exciting — and fun.
